Shopping (or at the very least window shopping) is a pastime we enjoy doing at any airport. One airport we never mind ending up at is Toronto’s Billy Bishop Island Airport — thanks to Porter. Porter is not only the most convenient way to fly out of the city, but they also have the best pre-flight and on-board experience. Before we even get onto the plane, there are complimentary snacks, drinks, Wi-Fi and cozy lounge chairs to relax in. Thinking our pre-flight experience couldn’t really get any better enter the WANT Passport boutique. READ MORE

Travel Must: Printed Scarf

by Stephanie on January 20, 2012

PrintedScarfWe’ve recently shared our love for the cross-body bag and the ballet flat, so it’s only natural to include another travel must with you: the printed scarf. As we’ve mentioned before, we love travelling with a scarf as it makes a stylish addition to your wardrobe and helps keep you cozy from the chill of the airplane. While a solid shade always does the trick, a little colour doesn’t hurt sometimes too. Whether it’s a striped pattern or cool tie-dyed style, a printed scarf is a travel essential. Here’s 9 we’re loving now. READ MORE

Stylish Luggage to Travel With

by Stephanie on October 28, 2011

It’s not just what you pack, but how you plan to carry all of your essentials on your trip that’s of major importance too. The last thing you want is your one-of-a-kind bottle of wine you toted all the way back from Napa to break. Plus you want something that’s lightweight, but spacious and still looks good too! Depending on the length and purpose of your trip, you may want a couple options, so we’ve found some stylish suitcases you’ll want to start using ASAP!

Louis Vuitton's Rolling Suitcase in Epopée, $3,050

Louis Vuitton's Rolling Suitcase in Epopée, $3,050

A Louis Vuitton piece of luggage is most definitely a splurge, however it’s the type of bag you’ll have for years to come. This gorgeous rolling suitcase is perfect for an overnight business trip to New York or off to your boyfriend’s parents for the weekend. It comes in three colours, but we’re partial to the grey.

Tumi 4-Wheel Expandable International Carry-On

Tumi 4-Wheel Expandable International Carry-On, $595

If you’re looking for quality luggage that won’t break the bank, consider Tumi. This particular version rolls (a 360 degree swivel we might add!) is expandable and is sized for carry-on. Since it’s in your basic black shade — meaning it’s impossible to identify on the carousel — Tumi has created “Accent Your Alpha” allowing you to personalize your piece with one of their coloured tags (our choice is Magenta). Cute and practical.

J. Crew's Globe-Trotter Centenary Case, $1,350

J. Crew's Globe-Trotter Centenary Case, $1,350

Designed by Globe-Trotter, who has been making luggage for more than 100 years, recently collaborated with J.Crew with a collection we think is very vintage cool. This bright canary colour won’t get lost in the sea of suitcases and despite looking heavy, is actually quite lightweight thanks to being made with Vulcan Fibre. And it rolls too, so no worrying about how you’re going to lug it around. READ MORE

Tory Burch Travel Socks

by Stephanie on November 25, 2010

PCT_ToryBurch-travelsocksWe love Tory Burch and not just for her sunglasses and flats, the latest must-have frankly isn’t as obvious, but perfectly practical. Tory tweeted earlier this year, “Is it me or is everyone grossed out by having to go barefoot through airport security? Should I design a line of travel socks?” It seems she found enough agreement to go ahead and design a pair of stylish and cozy travel socks. With the holiday’s just around the corner and subsequently tons of travelling, we think this is a must when it comes to your next flight. Aside from walking through security, we love putting on a comfy pair of socks when flying, so this pair fits the bill exactly! Made with Merino-wool and non-slip logos, the socks fits nicely in the sleek nylon pouch with gold hardware clips — for clipping onto your carry-on of course.

Daria Sleeve

Daria Sleeve

When it comes to toting around your travel essentials – we’re talking laptops, passports, travel docs, credit cards, etc, — style and function are top requirements. One line we think that perfectly accomplishes this is the luxury English brand Mulberry. We love what Creative Director Emma Hill has done since taking the helm in 2008. Besides creating the iconic Alexa bag after model and girl-about-town Alexa Chung, she also designed the Daria line of bags, which is on our fall list of must-haves. READ MORE

Cool Down with Avene Thermal Spray

by Stephanie on July 24, 2010

avene-thermal-waterWhen the temperature soars — like it has been all over Europe, the U.S. and here in Canada, sometimes all you need is a quick refresh — that’s why we love Avène Thermal Spring Water. The water is more than just bottled water in a spray can. It comes from spring in the town of Avène, a city in the south of France, and has been used since 1743 to help a variety of skin conditions from psoriasis, to burns. The journey the rain water makes from the Cévennes Mountains Sanite-Odile spring takes 40 years and along the way picks up minerals that make the water super special. The water is then bottled and voilà! READ MORE
